The basic aims of the Foundation are:

actions aimed at supporting the development of culture and art in the form of patronage over undertakings in this field,

to purchase or help in repairing facilities connected with the cultural activity, mainly for the benefit of German minority associations.
The Foundation for the Development of Silesia and Supporting Local Initiatives fulfils the above mentioned aims especially via returnable and non-returnable financing of projects and awarding non-recurrent financial aid.
